Denver is pathetic. They will lose this game.

They were punting on first down basically for the whole fourth quarter. They are lucky Von Miller and their defense bailed them out. Haven't seen a team win a super bowl without attempting to play offense.

Who the hell cares? They played it conservative because they knew it would work.

 

That said its kind of crazy that the Broncos won the SB despite being outgained 315-194

Ok well Ditka played in and won an NFL championship game with the Bears. I hate how the pre-Super Bowl years are barely acknowledged as anything by a majority of the NFL world.

To win a SB as a coach of a team he won a SB with as a player.

 

Nah he played for the Broncos in the 80s who were 0-3 in the SB with him on the roster. He did amazingly play in 2 of those games, both at the end of blowouts.

Cam didn't have a ton of time back there but there's not much he can do if nobody is open. Cam's numbers would have looked better if he had some decent receivers. Everyone wondered if that was going to bite them at some point in the playoffs and it did today.

Denver won the game because their defense basically scored two touchdowns. Carolina's defense was great but didn't score. Though I think Denver's offense being dreadful had a lot to do with why Carolina's defense was so good.

I'm not a fan of either team, and it was an ugly offensive game, but Carolina had the ball only down 6 halfway through the 4th quarter. I'd take that over what the Seahawks did to Denver two years ago.

 

I like defensive struggles.

Damn, I'm sorta glad I missed this game. Hearing you guys talk it sounds like it was awful. Did Cam really bail on the postgame press conference?

I see this game as more of an offensive struggle because both offenses sucked. I guess I'm a little biased since this is the same Denver Defense that nearly lost to the Bears who I wouldn't rate as one of the better offenses in the NFL this year. I also have a hard time accepting the "Wade Phillips is a defensive genius" meme.

 

I would have preferred a blow out because I could have turned it off in the 3rd quarter.
