Soft penalty and a poor defending sequence and it's quickly 2-0 Pumas.

 

Seattle gets a breakaway chance and hits it to the one spot where the keeper can reach it. Seattle needs a goal here.

that was an intense match. 2 bad penalties awarded imo but they evened out so

 

Agreed, I missed the first half with my indoor game but was really not happy with the first penalty call, then completely shocked they upheld the second so I think the end result was fair with the balance of play and big calls.

 

Next wednesday is gonna be an insane atmosphere, I've been at Lumen field for Sounders games when it's around 40k, I can barely imagine what that's like for the big games they get 60k+.

how far has CP fallen? He can't get on the field for a struggling team - not exactly amazing players playing ahead of him either.

 

I think formation has a decent amount to do with it, recently Tuchel has favored a 3-4-1-2 and that's not a snug fit for Pulisic's skill set. Werner being in good form and a bit more natural as a second striker doesn't help either.

CP is 23...list is 21 and under.

If you have a high enough quality player, you find a formation that works for him. I guess it's just a continuation from Dortmund and on - managers don't seem to like him. Watching this, Chelsea has no penetration - they pass it around wide then cross it for two poor strikers (Werner and Havertz). Not that Pulisic is a good fit for that model (Lukaku would be though). Just seems like his ability to dribble/penetrate would be useful.

Fun fact before today’s CL semifinal clash: eleven years ago Courtois and De Bruyne both played for Racing Genk and clinched the Belgian championship on 11th May. Both moved to Chelsea later that year ( Courtois in July, KDB in December)

lol at Man City, what the hell happened?

goal line clearance that would've put them up 3 on aggregate, then Rodrygo scores twice in a few minutes span to force extra time, what an epic comeback
