Jorge Soler had 38 homers in 1132 PA's coming into the year.

Jorge Soler has 45 homers in 659 PA's this year.

Imagine what he would hit if the ball was juiced. :-"

I'd bet on 45 homers in 659 PA's this year

Call me crazy but I don't think Soler needs the juiced ball to hit home runs. He's 27 and plenty of players at that age are still improving. Everyone is hitting a juiced ball and yet he's leading the AL. I anticipate he'll improve his walk rate next season and hit near 40 again. The guy is a pretty good hitter.

So after his career he's either going to open a personal injury law firm or buy people's settlements for CASH NOW.

WTH? Who puts their smartphone in a ziplock bag lol?

Yeah, this is the team I'll be pulling for this postseason. Also, Jose Berrios is Javy's brother-in-law so you know Javy will be rooting for them.

Some pretty awesome milestones last night. Pete Alonso hit his rookie record 53rd home run and Justin Verlander reached the 3,000K club. Verlander also reached 300K's for the season, just the 18th pitcher in the modern era to do so, and 2nd this year after Gerrit Cole.

Ausmus canned

Maybe Joe will give Trout some justice and get him into the playoffs.

The Angels are too talented to be this bad every year. It really makes no sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if they backed up the Brinks truck for Cole this winter

With the report of the Nationals offer to Rendon with, surprise surprise, quite a bit of deferred money. I went looking around cots at what deferred money they have out there. The craziest thing to me is that Scherzer is not making any actual salary this season or the next two... of course he's going to be fine and will still get $15 million each of those years out of his signing bonus.

Pretty much the entire '20s the Nationals are going to have their own more expensive but yet not as insane Bobby Bonilla day.

July 1

'22 - 15 million to Scherzer

'23 - 15 million to Scherzer

'24 - 25 million to Scherzer & Strasburg

'25 - 25 million to Scherzer & Strasburg

'26 - 25 million to Scherzer & Strasburg

'27 - 25 million to Scherzer & Strasburg

'28 - 25 million to Scherzer & Strasburg

'29 - 10 million to Strasburg

'30 - 10 million to Strasburg

They got some other ones hanging out there: they paid Daniel Murphy 2.5 million last January and will pay another 3 this coming January. 2 of Dozier's 9 million dollar 2019 salary will be paid in January 2020. Corbin will be paid 10 million between November '24 and January '26. They owe Matt Wieters 5 million in 2021. There's probably more out there I didn't even see.

Looks like the VB's are going to have to pay up for Hader a bit earlier than expected

Real shame for the smallest market. Their board projected him in the high 6 figures if he just got the contract renewed, now that he’s arbitration eligible he’s going to cost $5 mil+ this year.
