Eh, not necessarily, a pedicure doesn't just mean you get your nails painted, it can be a cure of your feet to get rid of their dried skin and other yummy, yummy things. Source: I've got a cousin whodoes that for a living. It's disgusting, they're not getting any respect, but they're quite well paid.

I wasn't focusing so much on the details of his foot job, but whether or not that really was tommy hanging with the arrietas again.

I’m all for this mostly because it would horsefeathers with the Brewers the most

So managers can't position players where he wants them? I think batters ought to learn how to hit to the opposite field or lay down a bunt to the opposite side.

The article addresses that. Basically saying it's never gonna happen.

How’s it going, Chili? Congrats on the NY job.

What's interesting to me is that, according to the data on Fangraphs, the Cubs shifted the least out of any team last year. And in 2017. And 2016.

Over those three years they were first in DRS.

This is more hitter focus than defense focused for us, but yeah overall it seems we'd benefit the most if shifts were banned. Since our defense already rates out pretty well without doing it much at all and some of our hitters are hurt the most by it and we have a team in the division (VBs) who use it a ton and are damn good at it.

I can foresee a volleyball like set of rules where you have to be “in position” as the ball is served.

Shortstop has to be on the left side of 2B as the ball is thrown and can shuffle to his left immediately after it’s released. I don’t like it but I could see it being thrown out there.

I think it would have to at least be at the start of the windup or it would lose any practicality.

definitely looking forward to fat old incompetent umpires enforcing this stupid rule

I'm trying to think if there's much need for strict enforcement. I don't think anybody will care if the shortstop is a smidge over to the 2nd base side. The potential rule is designed to keep the 3rd baseman from playing short-right field. Which nobody will even attempt after this rule. I just don't anticipate a lot of umpire enforcement being necessary.

oh good, unenforced rules that the Joe Wests of the world will arbitrarily decide to enforce from time to time to get on television. This will go swimmingly.
