Oh yeah what a punishment missing out on your somehow more disgusting and evil takes there

tom, please relax. i read that guys in their 50s shouldn't get this stressed and angry. maybe go relax with your wife and kids.

Ahh, yes, I forgot. Ok back to posting about 28 year old minor league catchers. Good luck, see you tomorrow.

Mediocre and entitled to the end, offering absolutely nothing but the boring fake confidence those guys have

What a stunner that you, a shell of a person who has very literally begged for my attention while sitting around all day waiting for a response to eventually get us here, are the victim…Must be something to just float thru life for decades upon decades like this occasionally pausing to blame some brown for your babyman problems like being willing and able to pay dumb prices for leisure

please dont believe this success came easily. i had to rise above 2 decades of poverty to begin my lucrative local nonprofit journalism career. grinding bad posters down on here is merely a leisure activity. now for the rest of your post, im not sure why you always respond to me with some nonsense about ticket prices but people really enjoy it. im gonna go put my kids to bed real quick, have fun with your action figures

I’m sure there’s a real sob story that somehow led to this husk who writes some heinous stuff on an internet baseball forum. I’m sure there is but will still pass on being the one you share it with. Maybe try…y’know…that social forum you crawled out of for this

definitely a better place for it than the minor league forum. why dont you join me there and we can continue

oh horsefeathers you cant post there? why what happened

My takeaways from all this are:

I can't believe Hearn has been in the system for 6 years.

And

People on here care about Hearn's ceiling more than his family, probably.

I really hope Pat Cline and Tony Richie make it.

Dude, are you doing OK? 1) Literally just said no thanks on being told the origin story of a guy who barely (if that) can conceal some uuuuh interesting opinions and 2) you’ve repeatedly had no issue pretending to be a victim as if these aren’t time stamped and in writing

oh im sorry, i didnt mean any of that post literally. i forgot all this is hard for you. i was making fun of you for getting yourself banned from the social forum. ill be more clear in the future, apologies

Lol why do you keep imagining this is some big punishment? Ooooh nooooo now I’m just limited to seeing you blast some browns over ticket prices you pay willingly woooe is me

still have no idea what this is ever in reference to but obviously something you misunderstood

as for the ban, im sure its not a punishment for you, that would require the ability to be introspective. my point is it's funny that you're so bad at posting you got banned from posting about politics on a baseball message board. but for real this time, ill let you get back to wondering if the squirrels outside your apartment are CIA listening devices. there will be plenty of opportunities for us to do this again

But, unfortunately for Ethan, we all have access to his Baseball Reference page.

And who owns that website huh? DISNEY

Fortunately having data, glancing at it waiting for someone to tell you what to do with it, doesn’t actually mean a whole lot

thankfully you’re around to speak out on behalf of the discarded and forgotten prospects toiling away in the lower minors for half a decade, ready to seize their opportunity if only the rest of us capitalism-addled simpletons could look past a .193 batting average and a 35% k-rate. a true light in the darkness you are.

genuinely asking because i don’t know what you’re referring to…is the rational explanation the missed year due to covid? if so, how much longer is that relevant? there have been four seasons of baseball played since then.

and i have no idea what you mean with your other point either. when has not excelling in the lower minors not been considered a red flag? if we’re talking about Kris Bryant beating the piss out of Northwest and Florida League pitching, yeah, not much to be gleaned from that. but when a hitter isn’t crossing the Mendoza line until his second turn at each level? feels like that’s always been cause for concern.

literally the template he’s being evaluated is very much an echo from how I did prospecting here - extremely well - pre-pandemic.

lmaoooooooooooo you box score scout a bunch of low minors guys, shotgun out a ton of opinions, and run and hide anytime anyone asks you about all of the countless other times you've acted this obnoxious about a nothing prospect. anyone can look at box scores and be wrong 96 percent of the time man, you don't have a special skill, you're just a shut in.

Wasn't it last year at this time that Tom had BJ Murray as the #2 prospect in the system? Or something close to that?

No, nice try tho I’m sure you’ll get biters

Sorry, you had him at #5, ahead of:

  • Caissie
  • Shaw
  • Ballesteros
  • Alcantara (whom you had #11 behind both Valdez & Gallardo, too)
  • Ben Brown
  • Triantos

Uuuuummm someone just cited his batting average and K rate lol what even are the rules literally the entire case against is his low minors stats aren’t pretty enough

lol, you tell me. what are the rules? he’s left-handed, shows decent plate discipline in A ball and has some pop in his bat that he’s able to access in his second turn at each level?

Utter insanity…same fanbase was still pushing Kohl Franklin: potential ace into last season!

Here is the pre-2023 prospect voting announcement, where Tom bemoaned how people overrated Franklin's potential and none of the entries put him in the Top 20:

Here is the mid-season 2023 prospect voting, where Franklin got 1 vote at 18 and another at 14 (from infrequent posters) out of 15 votes:

Here is the end of 2023 prospect voting, where no one put Franklin in the Top 20:

Here is the pre-2024 prospect voting, where one poster with 4 posts put Franklin at 18 and no one else included him in the Top 20:

Here is the middle of 2024 prospect voting, where no one included Franklin in the Top 20:
