Not hitting threes efficiently, Uthoff struggling and Woodbury in foul trouble is kind of the night mare scenario for Iowa yet they lose a close game at Maryland. I guess if you're gonna lose that's how to do it.

College basketball officiating is such a ridiculous joke. Illinois down 3 with 10 seconds or so left, Malcolm Hill basically gets run over by an OSU defender on a botched handoff and no call. Then, in the ensuing scrum for the ball, at least 3 or 4 fouls take place with no call being made. Likely no difference in outcome of the game, but what an absolutely horrific display.

Good thing it was an Illinois game and thus doesn't effect anything. Imagine if the happened to MSU, Maryland or Iowa.

When do they ever call fouls during a scrum in the final 10 seconds of the game?

Granted we know you don't actually watch things before you comment on them, but it wasn't a scramble for a loose ball really. OSU controlled it, and Illinois went for the quick foul to extend the game, and they continued swallowing their whistles. It was bizarre.

I don't know why I watched, but I did. Good lord, run a horsefeathering play at the end or give it to one of the guys who didn't shoot 3 for 14. I don't know, maybe Nunn. Argh, this season is another fun one.

 

I think when Frankie's kid goes to IU, that's when I'll stop following college basketball all together.

Thomas Bryant coming out party today. Coming out, as in.....he's definitely not staying his 2nd year in college.

 

Wouldn't say that yet. Still not projected as a lottery pick.

If John Groce loses his job, I can't say I'll feel all that bad for him. These guys absolutely do not play as a team, constantly missing mismatches in the post, not throwing it down to a guy after he re-posts, going 1 on everyone far too often, and generally just doing a piss poor job of decision making when it comes to shot selection.

Big 12 by a pretty decent margin according to Pomeroy. Hard to disagree with him.

Big 12 by a pretty decent margin according to Pomeroy. Hard to disagree with him.

The Aggies, who left the Big 12 for the SEC in the summer of 2012, finished 4-0 against the Big 12 this season. They defeated old conference foes Texas, Kansas State, Baylor and now Iowa State.
