All day heard that the Huskies would blow out the Utes. Ha!

I don't think it will happen, but Utah is lurking. If they win out I don't see how they get left out.

The nebraska msu game was fun as hell. The players were going nuts on the field right after and the fans, both students and normal fans, all stayed like an extra 20 minutes just dancing and hopping around. I don't give a [expletive] if people think the game winning touchdown was on a bad call, the luck had to go the huskers way sometime.

Where are the adults in all this? Is there no one in the room to let them know how counterproductive all this is, or have they (almost certainly) been shouted down?

The only purpose these mandatory gender/ethnic/sensitivity courses serve is to drive costs up. In my experience, the only person in the classroom who WANTED to be there was the prof, and that was at one the most liberal universities in this country.

The president, who is an adult, resigned.

Kevin Sumlin, you might should have gone for that next big job when you had the chance.

Absolutely pathetic. I have no idea what he is doing right now. Offensive mastermind, my ass. It's looking more and more like he owes Johnny Manziel and, to a lesser extent, Kliff Kingsbury a metric [expletive] ton of money.

Lenny gonna Lenny

This whole thing basically boils down to a bunch of (likely) financially secure, tenured professors manipulating some (likely) financially insecure students to wage a proxy war against an administration they don't like, with little regard to to the consequences for those or future students, or the racial divisions that will arise.

This isn't about some kids being called names (although a hunger strike against that is ridiculous enough). This is totally self-absorbed professors being totally self-absorbed professors.

These short-sighted fools don't even see how their actions are just making the argument against tenure stronger.

Who the [expletive] are you to judge how the targets of racism should react?

He should have thrown a "false flag" or "wake up, sheeple" in there to make it complete.

Those would be some good match ups if they ended this way (which they of course won't)

ND/Clemson rematch from this season and Bama/OSU rematch from last years playoff

Posted

So Baylor is ahead of Ok St because ... why exactly?

Both crushed a crappy non conference and both have beaten Kansas, Kansas St, Texas Tech and WVU. Ok St beat Texas and Baylor beat Iowa State. The one difference is Oklahoma State thumped TCU.

Also don't get why Iowa jumped Baylor.

Whatever. Doesn't matter much right now anyway. If any of those three win out, they'll be in the playoff.

I'm really hoping Notre Dame doesn't get in as one of the final four at the end of the year. This team has got the same feel as that team that went to the national championship a couple of years back where they lucked out several times throughout the season and got smacked when pitted against the best. I'm just interested in the best teams getting in, and by my eye test, ND isn't top four.

Other than the fact that they score like 35 points per game, have only really "escaped" twice (once after their QB broke his ankle during the game), and are more talented pretty much across the board than that team was, yeah, exactly the same.

And, if they were to finish 11-1, would possess wins over #10, #14 & #17 in the S&P+ rankings while having played #1 to essentially standstill on the road despite innumerable fumbles and dropped passes in a hurricane. (They themselves are currently #6 in S&P+)
