I want the first pitch next season thrown out by Grace with Bartman on his shoulders. And they're wearing t-shirts with jersey and ssr's smiling mugs on them.

He's right though, mojo, it's awful. The guy just wants to be left alone.

That didn't happen, so Murtha asked Bartman how he'd like to handle it. He just wanted to be anonymous again, just go back to work and be left alone. So Murtha went to work, forming a wall around Bartman that, even during a generation in which privacy is a hope and hardly an expectation, rarely has been breached.

Just leave him alone.

So then they don't do it. It's not like anyone expected them to drag him in and force him to dance for their amusement. I just still feel bad for the guy. It would suck if I suddenly couldn't go to Cubs games at Wrigley anymore because of idiots.

The Sammy thing has to be for fans of a certain age??

I'm 39 and don't have strong feelings one way or another about Sammy (or any other steroid era players, regardless of team).

Are there any guys from the 1945 team still alive? If so, give them a game. Maybe ask Sutcliffe or Maddux. Dawson is a good one, too.

What's Shawn Estes up to these days?

If I had to bet, I'd say he's been to Wrigley since.

that and the fact that for about a half decade stretch he was the best cubs player probably any of us have ever seen

i guess sandberg might've had a 5 year stretch that rivaled it, given his defense, but [expletive] him and his hop and camera kiss bashing ways.

I'm the same age and he is easily the best Cub to play in our lives and the only thing that made them relevant and competitive for years. He's awesome and those that hated on him are idiots and the owner is a douche for shunning him.

i still can't believe that [expletive] guy went out of his way to bash sosa in his HOF speech. Like what the hell?

Sosa played 13 seasons for the Cubs, Sandberg for 15. There is no number of consecutive seasons 1-13 in which Sandberg bests Sosa in fWAR

Yrs Sosa Sandberg
1	9.9	8
2	15.7	13.9
3	21	20.1
4	28.1	25.8
5	33.2	30
6	36	32.4
7	41.2	35.1
8	46.4	41
9	50.2	49
10	54.8	51.6
11	57.6	54
12	59.9	56.2
13	60.7	57.1

Sandberg would pass him in Cub fWAR after his 15th season for an all-time lead of 60.9-60.7. It's an almost certainty Sosa would have passed him without the strike.

ETA: Ryan is bored.
