Hawk will do 78 road games, opening day, and 2 home Cubs games. Another announcer will be hired for the remainder.

Apparently he lives in Granger and doesn't want do the driving in for home games or something.

I lived in Granger from ages 10-25 and I really need him to not live there.

I hope they make a bunch of overrated moves again this off-season and he again decides to cancel these plans.

Why on earth do you want more Hawk on the airwaves, that's a borderline war crime

I don't watch White Sox games so I don't have to suffer. I do however get tons of entertainment from listening to the highlights when he loses his mind.

I would like to not hate the White Sox. I would like to occasionally be able to watch the game, and enjoy it. Hawk makes this impossible.

Think of it as Hawk's acknowledgement of the hell hole that is the area around the Cell. It is much better than it used to be, but I can't think of any other park in baseball that is in a worse neighborhood.

I still have no interest in going one block in any direction from Yankee Stadium.

I've never made it there. Every time I've been in NY for business, it's been winter or a day trip.

St. Louis, obviously.

Also: Hawk is dropping his [expletive] load.

I have no clue how anyone can listen to this guy for more than a game. I go nuts listening to Stacey King and he's not half as bad.

Yeah, but you have to hear King because of how many times the Bulls play your beloved Cavaliers. The Cardinals almost never played the White Sox.

I...didn't hate ballpark village when I was there for the MVC tourney this year.

My buddy and I stuck around and got drunk there after the game when we went. Certainly preferable to the area around the cell.
