World Series preview!

This has to be the first inter league game where both teams have already clinched playoff spots thus having a legit shot at being a WS preview

Nah, Cubs-Blue Jays in the WS.

That team scares me.

I'd love a situation where we're playing a scary AL team in the playoffs.

With the return of Stroman they're as scary as they come. And oh hey, there's Tulo to add back into the mix just in time too.

It''s really hard for me to get excited for any of these games when all I care about is Wed. October, 7th right now.

I can't stop thinking about that game then I realize it's still a week away.JUST START NOW PLAYOFFS!

There are interleague matchups everyday now so I bet in the last few years there have been a couple.

I saw Doug Dacenzo pitch because the cubs got blown out. Andy Van Slyke, Bobby Bonilla and skinny Bonds all homered I believe. Sandberg and Dawson were hurt. I didn't care, though, because i was 7 and it was wrigley field.

Yes but almost all teams clinch with in the last 10 days or so of the season, meaning there are only like 2-3 interleague series each year. And this is the 3rd year they've had interleague year round. I'll dig to see.

Looking at the last 3 series of the season

2013: Giants @ Yankees (neither team qualified for playoffs), Red Sox @ Rockies (Red Sox already clinched, Rockies DNQ), Tigers @ Marlins (Tigers already clinched, Marlins DNQ)

2014: Phillies @ A's (Phillies DNQ, A's had not cliched playoffs yet), Diamondbacks @ Twins (neither team qualified), Astros @ Mets (neither team qualified)

derrick may hit a home run and they announced that bulls lost to the knicks in the playoffs at my first game at wrigley.

I believe my first game at Wrigley was against the Phillies in early April I want to say 1991. It was snowing out which is all I remember about the game.

I think mine was a Phillies game too but the only thing I really remember was rooting for Jerry Morales, who was my favorite as a kid. I think de Jesus was also on the team, which would make it 1977.

I'm pretty pumped about tonight, too. I've been/am a season ticket holder for both of these teams. I've seen the Royals more than any other team, but my devotion to them doesn't hold a candle my devotion to the Cubs. Should be a fun night watching a fairly meaningless game amongst two playoff teams that I love.

Also, Cubs are 7-0 when I am in attendance and the Royals are 16-4, so this has been an incredible season for me personally.

Yeah, this will be a fun one, though a lot of flipping between this one and Chiefs game if it stays close.

I'm all for a Cubs-Royals WS except I'd come out of it a whole lot lighter in the wallet.

My first was summer of '88. Jamie Moyer started, I believe. All I can really remember is some crazy woman behind us shouting incessantly at Dunston, except she pronounced his name Sha-Wahn.

If you notice my signature, this is anti-KC day for me.

And, yeah, I've already got playoff merchandise for both teams, so...

Yeah and I don't mind it but I wish the off days were on the road trip and not the home finale.
