Battle of undefeateds in Bloomington! IU actually stuck with Ohio St. last year. Down 28-20 with 4 minutes to go until OSU added 2 more late scores. Tevin Coleman was very impressive in the game last year with 228 yards on the ground. IU was playing their 3rd string QB at that point last year too. With Sudfeld healthy and with Jordan Howard picking up where Coleman left off as the 2nd leading rusher in the nation, and with Cardale and Barrett coming off a rough game.....maybe IU can do the unthinkable in front of a soon-to-be sold-out crowd.

IU has a ton of experience in winning the close games this year, albeit against competition several levels below Ohio St. I think IU puts up some points to keep it within a couple scores, and maybe make it interesting late in game, but this team just doesn't seem at the point to even pose a challenge to a top ranked team.

Darius Latham suspended. That hurts.

Michigan/Maryland moved to noon from 8 p.m. due to possible effects of Hurricane Joaquin. Nebraska/Illinois moved to 4 pm to balance out the BTN schedule.

so NCSU hasn't lost since Nov 8 of last year and is 4-0 this year and today's game is the first I've been able to watch. and of course they go down 0-14 to the 1-3 Louisville team. Here's hoping they can pull an ECU from last week (I assume nobody here watched it, but ECU went down 0-14 to VT before coming back to win 28-14).

Apparently UL has had musical chairs at QB this year but have settled on true Freshman Lamar Jackson. Looks like a good decision. He's fast as hell and just dropped a beautiful pass into the endzone.

I can't think of the name of the jackass doing the Iowa Wisconsin game, but I'm not sure he has gotten any details right including everyone's names.

Steve Levy?

Steve Levy?

Yes! He called Desmond "Derek" earlier, and everyone with a first name starting with M has been called "Mike" at least once.

Question:

Does Louisville have the douchiest football/basketball duo of coaches in Petrino and Pitino (never thought about how similar there names were, actually) in all of NCAA?

Posted

Dear God, I realize nobody here really cares about the NCSU game (*considers ending post now...will continue*) but these refs are absolutely brutal. obvious forward pass and literally no call on the field after it was tipped and dropped, everyone stood around for a second, and then Louisville picks it up to run it in. No call for either incomplete or fumble.

Thank goodness for replay.

Fun question. I think that's the winner, the only one I can think of that might be close is West Virginia. Arkansas would be high on my list too, but my opinion of Mike Anderson is probably much different than the average.

Thanks! I have a similar case in that I would put Roy Williams (HATE!) and Larry Fedora up there, too. But my bias is so strong I don't know if that is skewing the meter significantly for me against the consensus. I don't guess Fedora has really done much additionally other than coach a UNC team to make me hate him (not that I know of - please give me suggestions if there are), but I hate Roy enough for two coaches, so it's probably that.

Yeah I've never heard of anything terrible about Fedora myself, but I imagine that if you made this a regional poll there'd be some clear winners. Ohio State, Arizona, maybe South Carolina?
