go look at all of the games this year and you tell me our best pitchers faced the other teams best pitchers more times than they faced the other teams junk pitchers..

matchups got funky after a couple of those cancelled games.. thats just the way it happened..

Counting today, Haren has faced Locke, Jungmann, Sale, Williams Perez, and Bumgarner

Since the deadline Hendricks has faced Garza, Cain, Samardzija, Miller, and Peavy

Please stop, you have no idea what you're talking about

The only good pitcher Arrieta has faced in the 2nd half is Shelby Miller and Cole Hamels

The only good pitcher Lester has faced in the 2nd half is Kluber.

The rotation got all messed up when maddon started lester on short rest after the PPD game vs. the pirates.

Jesus you would be so much more tolerable (and that's saying something, because you still wouldn't be) if you would just admit when you're wrong.

Have your weird opinions and ideas on what's going on. When you get proven wrong, very explicitly, just take it. Like every other poster in here is capable of doing.

Welp. This is it. The dumbest thing I will read or hear all day.

The rotation is not messed up(well, Hendricks and Haren probably shouldn't be back to back for stuff/familiarity reasons), Once you get a few weeks into the season the 'matchups' you get are almost entirely random. You've spent a half dozen posts complaining about a problem that's tantamount to worrying that two dice weren't the same number when you rolled them together.

Sure he does. The Cubs should have done something to change time and alter the universe in a way where Arrieta and Lester were always facing the 1 and 2 of whoever the Cubs happened to be playing. I don't care what the excuse is, nobody is this stupid I think we all just keep feeding the troll.

people are this stupid

i believe that part is genuine.

Ugh... and Kershaw tomorrow. Would like to not lose more than 2 in a row, but I guess it really doesn't matter.

yeah we will see the same lineup tmrw since he is a lefty.

Lieber pitched for the Cubs in 2008? All I remember is everyone bitching about Marquis that year (When he had a 1.7 fWAR, which is perfectly serviceable for a fifth starter).

It's both; he's a baseball idiot and he's copped to being a troll.

Ya but Montero has struggled mightily vs. Kershaw just about the same as every other lefty. it doesnt change much, you still see herrera out there and if fowler is out again you still see denorfia

26 appearances, 25 of which were as a reliever

didn't you just ask that they say "[expletive] matchups" and still play their starters against these pitchers because of how important it is to score runs (which is [expletive] stupid to begin with but i am pretty sure it's what you said)

I guess, but he only shows up when the Cubs are losing. He then posts the most ridiculous things often contradicting his previous idiotic post with his next idiotic post. I felt bad at first because people piled on but now I get it...literally complaining about rainouts and completely random events as if they were within the control of the organization was the last straw, because NOBODY can be that stupid can they?

Being that dumb should hurt. I am the most pessimistic person I know and logic still comes into play at some point.

I don't even think you know what the hell you're arguing about anymore. I've never been a part of such a circular discussion in my life. The Mariners won 116 games in 2001 and didn't win a World Series, so what the [expletive] is your point? Are you mad that the Cubs are the 4th best team in baseball? Are you mad that it rained and something happened to the rotation or something? Are you mad that even the best teams in the league lose? You are either the stupidest poster on this site or the biggest troll on the site.

Well, you see , he was worried about a '69-style collapse for the '08 team, but they still went to the playoffs but they lost in the playoffs and they didn't win any playoff games so somehow in his head it all comes out to being the exact same thing.
