I loved it when I visited about 10-15 years ago. The fact that I was there in June and had to buy a sweatshirt was great for me.

It really is, but if you visit in July, bring a coat and some pants. It's chilly and windy.

nah, it is a great city and there is also a [expletive] load of stuff to do within a half day's drive (wine in napa or sonoma valley, redwoods, santa cruz, monterrey, yosemite). one of my favorite cities in the u.s.

I've never been to sf. I was hoping to visit on the road trip I took to California last month but couldn't make it work. Seems like it'd be great to visit (and there's a lot I want yo see there) but I'd never live somewhere where the average low never gets over like 55.

 

San Diego was like heaven on earth though.
