It's really interesting to me that they hired Dombrowski as he's not really a "build the right way" type of GM.

 

You mean like with the Tigers when they went 186-300 in Dombrowski's first 3 seasons?

 

Note: Epstein was 200-286 from 12-14

He's not a "saber" guy. Dombrowski is a guy who doesn't give two shits whether a guy came up from his system or not. He uses prospects to get MLB players, that is his MO.

 

That has not been Boston's MO since Theo.

Boston has made a lot of prospect for MLB star trades since Theo first took over as GM.

I know early in the season Lilly mostly just walked around the bleacher construction without a hard hat on. Not sure where where he's been lately.
