What's worse, Twitter, or you guys all quoting Twitter so that I have to read the same tweets five times in the same thread?

@BNightengale

The #Cubs would love to pull off a blockbuster and land Ross and Kimbrel from the #Padres

Whoa does he have a source

There are a lot of things I would "love" to do. Takes at least two.

If Hendricks goes, we're basically forfeiting games 3 and 4 of this weekend.

They cry when the Cubs don't make moves but when they do make moves, well, they cry.

aren't you one of the guys who does absolutely nothing but complain in game threads?

Some guy named Jordan Schultz tweeted an hour ago, he hears strongly the Cubs are the favorite for Kimbrel. Huffington Post guy, I think....

The reporters are stumbling over each other to be the first to tweet things, and then you guys are stumbling over each other to be the first to post it here.

Then turn off your computer/internet and wait by your door until the paper comes tomorrow to read about what trades actually happened

Ross has a FIP just a shade better than Lester's. I can't lie, I'm getting fired up at the prospect of landing him.

I'm not sure but people complaining about others rushing to provide minute by minute updates on the forum you frequent is worse than either of those. I'm sorry which discussions are you missing out on because you have to read "5 tweets in a row"? Is there a Baseball Mogul dynasty discussion this is distracting you from?

I'm not even sure I'd want to deal Hendricks straight up for Ross. 3.35FIp over the last two years and under control for 5 more years versus Ross who is under control for 2 more years, sporting a 3.10FIP the last two years and is an extreme injury risk.

Sources: #Padres, #RedSox, #Cubs 3-team trade possibility remains very much alive, with two hours to deadline.

We've approached the trade deadline in a mostly rational and practical manner for the past 3 years. Time to do something erratic.

I'm guessing the thinking is including Hendricks allows us to expand the deal (Kimbrel, Upton, someone from a 3rd team) and/or lessen the prospect load given up

Do me a favor...when you quote a tweet, please delete the text so Derwood doesn't have to read it again

Cubs actively working phones according to MLB exec. "Theo+Jed just aren't comfortable trading away big pieces unless they hit HR in deal."
