It's truly incredible that so many people are staying to see a 50-26 team. Pretty sure any fanbase in baseball outside of Oakland, Tampa, and Miami would stack the seats

Honestly, will anything the Cubs do ever be enough? Within the confines of the tanking plan, the front office hit for a really good average with the important moves. And it really just doesn't feel like anything will ever be enough to overcome these dick bags

Guys, can we be real, like really real, and seriously discuss the possibility that all of the dead Cardinals are sacrifices to some kind of demonic power?

Just a stratosphere between the Cubs and the Cardinals

We'll get there with this squad, possibly by the end of the season

i have enjoyed the hacking scandal as much as anyone, but i think the "cardinals are ritualistically murdering their players every few years in order to stay in satan's good graces" scandal would be even better.

Given that we know the playoffs come down to luck more than anything, that doesn't help. Our history with luck is pretty terrible.

That Will Ferrell spoofish Lifetime movie is on.

Plus he's griping like that when the Pirates are also ahead of the Cubs, so I have no idea why he's acting like the only thing standing be tween the Cubs and FO-delivered salvation are the Cardinals.

On this day last year, the Cubs were 9.5 behind St. Louis.

They’re going to be 11.5 behind after tonight.

Where were we in the wild card race?
