There's no way that was clear and convincing.

i actually don't think any of the 3 challenges were reversible by those standards

I'm with you except ESPN showed one shot that they stopped on the first play at home they clearly showed the tag before Phillips touched the plate. They only showed it once and it was after the play had been reversed.

Fair enough, you rarely have absolute proof to overturn, but if MLB isn't going to adhere to their own rules, then they need to change them or be more forthcoming in the standards they're actually using. Requiring a writeup on the reasoning used to uphold or overturn a call would be a good start.

the one on phillips at home plate was. you could see ross's glove bending backward from the tag before phillips had his hand on home plate.

That's true. I was pretty surprised they overturned the first two with how replay has been used this year. Thing is though, I think that pretty clearly hit him; you could see the uniform move and you could hear it.

Replay would be better if the call on the field was completely disregarded and the replay officials could judge the play on its own merits

I know that aside from Chapman we have a better bullpen than Cincinnati, but I really don't like chancing it.

Motte against the heart of their order? Ugh.

Yeah, feels like this inning will decide the game.

This move surprises me. I thought the point of not using Rondon vs their best hitters was so that a lefty (Rosscup) would.

I don't think anybody has any idea what the standards are.
