So it's a non deadline deal and he had no idea when it will be done. If nothing else, he's set himself up to be right if we make a biggish trade in the next month.

Even if a Papelbon trade is announced later today the next rumor the guy has will still rightly be met with scrutiny, so I just enjoy it as a thought exercise that maybe has some backing. The guy hasn't big-timed it with 'insidery' allusions or condescension and seems to be sincere, so if he's wrong, oh well.

yeah, I've never understood it. It's entertainment at the very least. And who knows, he could be 100% right and the trade could fall apart last minute. It's just fun to speculate and see if anything materializes.
