FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports the Phillies have had recent talks with the Blue Jays and Cubs about Jonathan Papelbon.

A source described the talks as at an "impasse," so it doesn't sound as though anything is imminent. Rosenthal said the Phillies are willing to pay a significant portion of Papelbon's contract, which is $13 million this season and has a vesting option for $13 million in 2016. The two teams' interest makes sense, as the back ends of both bullpens are in flux currently. A trade could come together quickly with both teams having designs on a playoff run.

I was definitely skeptical, but I do think this guy heard something. It's obvious that he jumped the gun on it being done, but with this Rosenthal report coming out, at least there was some smoke there.

It seems like the only reason he thought it was "done" was because the Cubs were at 39 on the 40 man roster.

yeah back then my twitter went from like 100 followers to about 5k in a month. among them were lots of folks looking for "beats" for raps it was annoying. indie music is a struggle hard to make a dime unless you go all in and do the starving artist thing till you get big tours.
