Bryant is in LF also

Make way for Javy?

Don't think it has anything to do with that..... but if he shows he can handle LF well (which it seems he can), it can't hurt the chances of that move happening soon.

I think that's more of a necessity based on facing a lefty and Soler being out, no?

Maybe. Don't see why Herrera in the OF wouldn't make as much sense (if not more) if there were no plans/thoughts whatsoever about Bryant to LF.

Good point. I bet we can just file that under "Why do really good managers sometimes do things that don't seem to make sense?" Or, we can wait for the I-Cubs lineup.

Javy is due for a call up in a little over a week, barring a sudden stretch of swinging and missing at every pitch. Just saying.

We sure Soler isn't being traded? #neyer

@Rotoworld_BB: Soler out of lineup Tuesday with sore ankle http://t.co/0r1KnCWBGg

Thanks for clearing that one up.

Lake is 3/6 career against Hand and has put together good ABs this year. Hopefully he'll prove the detractors wrong tonight. Still hate Ross and Herrera but what are you gonna do?

Well crap. I'm gonna ask that in the future the Cubs consult me on all lineup decisions prior to my making my bold predictions. #-o

baez really is crushing it in aaa

I dunno if I'd call a .869 OPS and less than ideal contact rate "really crushing it". He has managed to keep the K rate around 25% though, which would be his lowest since High-A ball.

Make way for Javy?

My immediate reaction too

Well, yeah. But there's also the tragic fact that our reserves feature a worse option than Jonathan Herrera.
