you'd think that our front office and their big juicy brains would be able to scrape together at least a semi-competent bench.

Lake has been good tonight for the most part and deserves a roster spot over every other bench player we have or have had all season.

This may be he first rational thing you've ever said here.

You must not have seen that rocket single Herrera just hit up the middle.

Well, they kind of did and all those guys broke (Olt, Denorfia) or were unexpectedly terribad (Alcatara, Baez sorta).

No shame losing to Max and the best team in the league.

Good teams are supposed to beat worse teams, except when we lose 4 out of 6 to the Brewers.

No, but i'm honestly starting to worry about our bats. IT doesn't help that our bench consists of herrera, ross, and baxter

To be fair, it should have Denorfia and La Stella.

Lastella, too. Man...we've had extremely bad luck with the bench players.

KC was just swept by the Yankees, so hopefully they're a little vulnerable. Win that series and then go sweep Miami.

Vulnerable?

Hey, it's not like it's a sport where the best teams typically lose 70 or so games or anything.

Castro's really the only one that matters at all that anyone should be worried about in terms of lasting impact/problems.

Seriously. I know it sounds, knee-jerkish but bring Baez up. Maybe he sparks the offense. If not, send him back down.

There's really no reason not to wait until the 11th at this point.

it's baseball. stop trying to read so much into the outcomes of games or series. there are lots and lots of both and lots of things are going to happen.

Eh; it's a young guy who is figuring things out. Definitely what anyone wanted/hoped for at this point, but fortunately it's not really anything to panic over. He's a work in progress, same as Russell. It's definitely easy to get spoiled when a freak like Bryant shows up.

They're still trying to master this "actually putting together a whole team that doesn't somehow drive you insane" thing with the Cubs.

We're still worrying about the Cardinals? Pretty sure that race is over.

The lead was down to 2.5 games a few days ago. Relax.

Yeah, it's almost June. If we were .5 or maybe even 1 game behind, then MAYBE. But 4.5 games?! lol

The Cardinals are so clearly better even with injuries. They beat us and they sweep teams we should beat.
