Odd start time for a home game. Is this to appease the cranky New York fans?

Huh? What's odd about it?

did I write it wrong? I don't see what is odd about 7:05, isn't that the standard start for night games?

Will be nice to see people in the bleachers.

Getting a split in this series would probably be an accomplishment given who the Mets are throwing. Need a shutdown effort from Lester.

Nevermind. I'm stupid. I got it wrong. I was looking at 7:05 as a 4pm start time here in SoCal because ESPN always gives me east coast time zones for game times. Chicago 7:05 is the normal 5:05 start time. It was too early in the morning when I read that originally, I guess.

I can't help but feel that a 2-2 split would be a minor miracle. Double-digit strikeouts by the Cubs offense each game is more or less a given, I suppose.

I have no logical basis for this, but I feel like we're going to smack the Mets pitching around in this series. To be honest I have the least confidence in facing Colon right now and they miss him. Chase Harvey and DeGrom somewhat early, rudely welcome Syndergaard to MLB, and top it off by beating up on Samardzija Niese on Thursday.

Same, i feel like a split would be a blessing. im not looking forward to the mets pitchers making our stud prospects look bad. I hope that doesnt happen.

but its probable

Great, this team has driven TT to take all of the drugs. I hope they're happy now.

I'm mentally prepared to accept being below .500 again. I guess.

I'm going to say disastrous pet jumps should be the appropriate new theme:

Miles says that Russell is hitting 7th, Ross 9th.

EDIT: Real scoreboard pics on Twitter confirm it.
