Jim Hendry and Garza trade justified.

let's wait and see how 2018 top-100 prospect Hak-Ju Lee turns out first before we get too cocky

We won a game Lester started!

Beat the Reds last week with Lester starting also. That was the Soler 2 HR game.

Chirinos made that trade a loser on day 1.

So how do we feel about Lester last night?
Posted
Early on I had that sick feeling about Lester, but as the game progressed it finally dawned on me that but for Hamilton, Lester would've likely posted a "ace-like" game. Him getting whiffs, and apparently getting stronger as the game progressed were positives IMO. I worry less about his issues w/ holding runners/throwing to bases than his (apparent?) early-season propensity to allow hard contact. At least that's how I've viewed most of the hits he's allowed.

Pretty good. 10-1 K/BB, only 5 hits. When they scored it was because he let Hamilton get on and he's going to steal against almost anybody. But it wasn't like they were stringing hits together to score.

@HighHeatStats: Last year Billy Hamilton had a stretch where he was 21/24 in SB, but was 35/55 rest of the year. His 12/13 start in 2015 might be a fluke.
