Quick game. These pace of play rules...I like them.

Yeah the rules limiting both teams to five hits total are the best.

I'm not one to bitch about modernizing and monetizing Wrigley, but no Len, the giant scoreboard does not make the place more intimate.

have you been there?

i kinda see where he's coming from

lol, yeah this was more about a pitcher's duel than pace of play. The Tigers/Twins game today was an 11-0 blowout and it lasted 3 hours 9 minutes.

Yeah, I'm curious about this too. I'm ok with the board because we're a pro team and revenue is part of the deal, but I don't see how it makes Wrigley 'more intimate'.

So mad there's another off day tomorrow. Oh well, hopefully the bats come alive in Colorado. Guessing it will be Hammel on Friday, Hendricks on Saturday and maybe Lester on Sunday? Or will they start Wood and give Lester the extra day of rest?

But that still seems really fast for an 11-0 game....that's one minute over last years average game length.

Touché. We'll still need a few more weeks to really tell a difference. There were a few 3:10 + games yesterday, but Monday there were a lot of games less than 3 hours.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but one might see the big board as making the park feel smaller and more enclosed/confined, which can be looked at as some manner of intimate.
