Well, looks like I'm a Vikings fan 14 weeks a year!

[expletive]. Hundley & Datone in Green Bay, Barr, Kendricks & Locke (punter) in Minnesota and Fauria in Detroit while the Bears have no Bruins.

ETA: I thought Tevin Coleman must have been drafted by Minn. Totally forgot you had family in the draft. No comparison to me.

great list, but no Treadwell?

I'm kind of hedging my bets after the injury but it didn't seem like there was much risk of him losing a step from it like with a knee tear. I did think he was a top 10 pick before the injury.

I think you'll be safe to put him on that list. There was a video from earlier in the Spring of him playing pickup basketball in the gym and throwing down a slam dunk. He's fine. Kid isn't human.

Great top 20. Much better than this year's class. Bosa is better than every edge rusher drafted this year. Stanley and Tunsil (that's the order I'd have them) are better than any OT in this year's class. Hargreaves is way better than Trae Waynes. I like Nkemdiche better than Leonard Williams, and I love Williams. Hand is better than every other interior DL other than Leo, with Oakman having potential to be also. All those S are better than any in this class. The LBs are all better than any this year, if we're talking non-pass rushing types. And healthy Treadwell is slightly better than Amari Cooper, IMO.

Elliott may have gone ahead of injured Gurley if he was eligible this year, but Gurley is a good bit better when healthy. I like Elliott better than Melvin Gordon. Both top QBs in this year's class are better than the 2016 guys, though are 4 on this list are 1st round picks.

doing my yearly raiders check in. is amari cooper good? comps?

I've seen a lot of Marvin Harrison comps. I see a little Roddy White or Jordy Nelson in him. Good pick. Gives Carr a reliable top target.

My favorite comp is Isaac Bruce. Strong route runner, with good hands, but sneaky ability to get behind the defense. He's a potential 100 catch a season guy.

from a Barnwell article on Grantland:

Tight end: MyCole Pruitt (5-143), Vikings

In one of the weaker tight end classes in recent memory, the best value is probably going to be a lottery ticket. Pruitt doesn't have the height that makes athletic freaks like Jimmy Graham stand out, but at 6-foot-2, he should still be able to create mismatches against smaller defensive backs and slower linebackers. A better comparison would probably be Charles Clay, who took a couple of years before eventually finding his role in the Miami offense and developing into a worthwhile contributor. Pruitt needs to improve his blocking, but Norv Turner should be able to find a limited role for him in the Minnesota offense as early as this year.

La'el Collins is officially not a suspect according to police. Sucks for him. Kid lost millions.

What are the rules on UDFA contracts? Can there be bonuses based on starts/probowl/etc?

Someone mentioned filing a grievance and entering the supplemental draft. Dunno how feasible that is but it sounds pretty fair to me.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I know there's a UDFA bonus pool that's pretty small, but does a contract like that have to come out of the rookie draft pool and if so, does just the guaranteed money count?

He already filed a grievance and tried to get into the supplemental draft and they turned him down. Basically the reasoning was that he's a senior and there was nothing stopping him from being eligible for the draft. Thus, they would be setting a precedent they didn't want to set if they let an eligible senior sit out the regular draft in favor of the supplemental draft.

There may well be something I don't know, but my understanding is that he gets paid the same as every other UDFA, but that UDFAs can renegotiate their contract after 2 years instead of after 3 like a drafted player.

So basically, he'd have to play for peanuts for a couple of years, prove he can toe the line and then get his mega contract after that.

This is correct.

According to the NFL teams cannot meet with him until Saturday. He's supposedly already met with Rex Ryan, so I'm guessing Buffalo is going to be eliminated by that.
