Eye fee?

Eye Fie?

If I?

F it. I'll just try to speak of him using his last name. Oh wait.... How is that pronounced?

somebody asked fox what he's seen out of bostic and the answer was nothing since he hasn't been in camp. Rotoworld has a note that he may have an undisclosed back issue but nothing specific. Is he more or less done with the Bears?

Funny, cuz he'd previously been pretty adamant about wanting to stay at guard and be the best RG in the league or something.

well, they were pretty clear it was temporary and due to injuries to other guys, but...

If he can play RT.....he should be moved to LT. Long being able to play LT at 90% of the way he played RG would make an immense difference in this team's future. If Long stays at RG (which I'd be fine with), then next spring you'd be looking at needing to spend the 1st round pick on either a LT, QB, or an edge rusher. All while possibly losing your RB, top WR, a starting CB (Jennings big cap number), and stud TE (who was on the trade block and hasn't been to OTAs).

Hasn't his back caused issues since his rookie year?

I have to say I have no memory of anything related to Bostic

#Bears TE Martellus Bennett was at Halas Hall today for physicals for minicamp, as @danwiederer reported earlier.

Word is that Marty really blew up when the team fired Trestman. The phrase, "going postal" was used in something I read today. I guess it makes sense he would be upset that he lost the guy that got him 90+ catches. But it sounds like this regime (Pace mostly, because I don't know that Fox and Co. have dealt with him much) isn't a big fan of his and he won't be back after this year.....if he makes it that far.

That's really far from this quote though...

“Trestman, I think the issue that he had probably was managing us all, all the different personalities,” Bennett said. “There’s a lot of big personalities. And I think, for a first-time head coach in the NFL, dealing with all the personalities that you have, I think that’s hard when you got guys like me, you know, [wide receiver Brandon] Marshall, [linebacker] Lance Briggs on defense, [cornerback Charles] Tillman."

"Calling plays, he was excellent," said Bennett, who caught 90 passes for 961 yards and six touchdowns last season. "I think he’s going to be an excellent coordinator for the Ravens. Strategically, he was great, but, on the field, guys just weren’t executing.”

Is it far or just the inevitable cooled down response following the initial meltdown?

Marty doesn't seem like the type to play coy with the media. I really think if he was that mad about it, he'd have let it slip. But who knows.

Probably not really all that newsworthy, but the Bears signed Daniel Thomas (RB) and Sherrod Martin (S). 2 positions that definitely need depth, but probably nothing that will help the team all that much.

This is a month old, but USA Today's power rankings have the Bears at 32nd overall.

I can understand thinking the Bears are going to be bad, but there is too much talent and too good of coaching to be the worst team in the league, that's ridiculous. I can see the Bears being somewhere between the 10th and 25th best team in football.

Well that seals it. Superbowl here we come.

There's no way that we are worse than San Francisco or Cleveland or Washington or Tennessee. We won't be a good team and we won't make the playoffs but there's 0 chance that we end up being the worst team in the league.

Wow. That's kinda crazy to predict them to be the worst team in the league. Seems as though the Cutler hate just keeps on spreading. Weird.

Yeah, the Bears aren't going to be good. But they aren't going to be terrible unless they are really killed by injuries. Not that they have a ton of talent, but they have enough and enough coaching to win 6-9 games this year, which is well beyond #1 pick range.
