When I first read that last sentence, I wondered what abuck had to do with it.

It's been a long day already.

Can't say I'd lose sleep over losing Bennett.

wasn't this quote about mcclellin a second ago?

I don't know what you're talking about. :ninja:

...I got a little excited and thought McClellin was gone this year, not next.

Bennett was one of the few players that actually played really well for the Bears most of the season. His personality grew tiresome quickly, but on the field he's been very good for us. He'd be a loss.

Meh, he had 90 catches and didn't even get 1,000 yards. He's a good posession TE, not a game breaker. Despite all of his "success" last year, they sucked on offense. That and he seems like a divisive personality and is seeking a contract extension with 2 years out. F him. I hope they just wait for him to come back from a holdout, let him play this year and then let him hold out next year.

I would not miss Bennett. He's pretty good, but he's not nearly good enough to justify being a pain in the ass.

How much of a pain is he really being? Withholding from voluntary programs for a new contract. That's not worth running him out for. Though, they just have him "on the block" so we'll see how motivated they are to move him.

I'm not really considering the holdout. The dude was not helpful last year.

Sure he was helpful. He's a good TE, and one we won't replace at this point in the offseason.

I meant not helpful in terms of his pain in the assness. He goes to the press with complaints, he causes fights. I specifically acknowledged that he was pretty good on the field, but not good enough to justify being a pain in the ass.

Do we have to get rid of every talented player who's a pain in the ass in one offseason though? I thought a veteran coach like Fox was supposed to be able to handle these personalities. I'd still put up with his [expletive] unless we had made plans to secure a somewhat decent TE replacement.

Maybe we're tanking for a QB though.

of course we're not [expletive] tanking look at this offseason for [expletive]'s sake

Surprised the Bears didn't try to trade Bennett earlier. He's every bit the [expletive] that Brandon Marshall is. He had the fight with Kyle Fuller that got him kicked out of camp last year. He got into it with Kyle Long on Twitter this offseason already, though they made up.

Let's not get carried away here.

One is a goofy jerk. The other is a violent toward women sociopath.

I meant in the locker room. He was just as vocal as Marshall last year. He was just as confrontational, if not moreso than Marshall. Both were jerks on the football field. Marshall, by all accounts, is no longer that person he was before the Bears got him. He's just nuts.

For being such a liberal board, the ableism sure runs rampant around here sometimes.

Whatever. Jay is my man and he's going to turn it around this year. Just watch!

Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself.

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles. I just believe in me."

Yeah, I guess I should be cool with all that stuff he did and is still trying to lie and victim blame about.
