So now Kenny Williams might resign from the Sox to take Toronto job. What exactly is the appeal of Toronto here? Is it a huge promotion?

More importantly, what is appealing about Kenny Williams to Toronto

They probably have one of the wealthiest, if not wealthiest, ownership group in all of baseball. So I'd guess at minimum it's an appeal of a higher salary and more resources. Bigger questions is why Kenny Williams appeals in any capacity to anyone.

Lots of questions on Lester...too close to call right now, all 4 suitors have a chance. #Cubs may be making strongest case, though.

I have a feeling Theo ponys up the 7th year and closes this down. Not ideal but without effecting the draft and it being Lester it seems like the one pitcher they would feel comfortable giving a 7th year to. My guess is 7/170.

Per Rosenthal, the White Sox are in on Robertson, and were in on Andrew Miller as well. They could sure use bullpen arms, but I'm not sure I get their offseason so far. Schizophrenic from last year's series of sensible moves that helped short and long term.

I think I saw somewhere on Twitter that the Sox only have $65 mil committed to next season. Is this really true?

Yep. They have ~10 million in arbitration eligible guys, but that takes them to about 75 million for 12 players.

@jessespector: Lobby sightings: Joe Maddon drinking a comically large beverage, Jon Heyman talking to someone I don’t know, and a bellhop.

woah woah woah, MLBN is pretty great, there's just a small percentage of their programming(High Heat being a chief example) that is really really bad.

And pretty much everything they let Harold Reynolds do.

My thinking is that they wanted to fire him years ago, but he kept waving his ring in Jerry's face, so they promoted him to figure head with an open ended contract so long as he sits on his hands until he gets bored or another job.

yeah, pretty much

Yeah, their "personalities/talents" are terrible. Amsinger isn't awful as a host and I think does a good job monitoring the idiots. Also, not that I have a problem with him, but Brian Kenny is their smartest and most logical personality and it isn't even close.

Those personalities pontificating about whatever is not a huge percentage of programming, unless you're talking about them narrating over highlights, which is pretty easy to tune out. It's a 24 hour network so I'm not expecting everything to be gold(seriously, that Chris Russo show is beyond useless), but it's way better than most of what's out there because they actually show baseball happening instead of putting cameras on idiots for most of their shows(this still happens some, because again, 24 hour network) like BBTN.
