http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2262535-fed-up-bears-fans-are-now-burning-jay-cutler-jerseys

Nonetheless, the hapless Chicago Bears were spitted and fondue'd 55-14 by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, and I awoke Monday morning to find a ripped-up, half-burnt Cutler jersey lying in a heap on the sidewalk near my Chicago apartment.

I am not a Bears fan. I have no idea whose jersey it was, but someone appears to have ripped it from their body like a clergyman tearing his robes. It also looks like they used multiple cigarettes to light the jersey on fire.

We've gone full Cleveland. This is fun.

Doesn't Cutler still have the best passer rating of his carer?

Probably.

I think the problem with Cutler is not the turnovers that people understandably freak out about, but the fact that he isn't making plays. He's been "fine", but this team is so bad they need him to be super beast to win.

so we're going to burn his jersey? o......k

my brother is one of these meatheads, talking about how the contract forced a bunch of really good d players out of Chicago. I cant think of one myself, but a BUNCH.

Isn't passer rating kind of stupid? It's artificially high because his completion percentage is up due to a heavy increase in dump offs and short passes (conversely his yards per attempt is the 3rd lowest of his career), and several garbage time touchdown passes thrown.

He hasn't been all terrible, I'm not putting the blame solely on him for the Bears performance obviously (although you can assign more blame to him for the losses against Buffalo and Carolina) but I don't see anything that suggests his performance is any better than his entire career to this point.

To me it just seems like he used to have a to of picks on really risky throws that I could live with because they had high reward. The high reward stuff has like vanished and it's like he's gotten worse protecting the ball in the pocket (re: fumbles)

Your average football fan is probably the dumbest in all of sport. I mean Cutler hasn't been great by any stretch, but it never ceases to astound me how far people will go to make him the whipping boy for a problem that is much, much bigger.

It doesn't help that 75% of all press conference questions related to whether or not Trestman would bench Cutler.

yea, he clearly is forcing things more and fumbles more then previous, but with this line I dont know how he is alive. his yard per average is low, but it isnt the lowest its ever been.

He gets paid way more then he produces, but it just goes to point out that if you have revolving doors at guard and tackle life will just suck. 2 ints, one probably tipped by peppers and one bounces off of Longs head. idk. a fuckign circus really.

idk. I kind of dont care anymore. I do know this, he sucks at safety. I mean, when Jordy Nelson is THAT wide open, Cutler has to lose his job, right?

when he falls outside the top 20 in most advanced metrics for QBs it's worthwhile to consider if he's been a significant part of the problem

he's part of the problem, but not to a significant extent. not when you lose 1000-2

The Bears were in nickel 37% of the time last night. Against Aaron Rodgers.

I drank ALOT last night. It helped me sleep and kept me numb, but I just prolonged my agony into today. Maybe I should give up sports.

I didn't drink at all. A game like last night became funny fast. There wasn't any drama to spark a drinking binge. You telling me you needed alcohol to get numb? Wasn't the game enough without it? :D

I don't remember if it was completely garbage time when Cutler started hitting Marshall pretty regularly in the second half, but that's what I felt has been missing in a lot of the games of late, and especially in the first half of last night's game.

Granted, I know Marshall has been playing in pain, and probably still isn't 100%, but it's like they were purposely ignoring him in the first half. Throwing into double coverage to Jeffery for an incomplete pass, throwing towards Bennett and him dropping the ball, even two or three throws to Morgan, but I don't recall any actual throws to Marshall in the entire first half. Marshall is the best receiver on the team, and he was getting open just fine in the second half.

I just don't get the play calling. I almost had to buy a new tv when Williams brought that first kickoff out from 9 yards deep in the end zone. That this has been happening all year long and continues to this day is all the more reason to fire someone. The guy hasn't seen the 25 yard line all year long (ignoring that he did run one in later in the game), so where is the inspiration to gamble that he might just break one?

There are way too many things to nitpick about and nothing on the positive side that can balance things out. So I'll just end this rant here. I'm not preaching anything all of you don't already know. It's just painful thinking that this team had a legitimate chance of making the playoffs this year and all signs point to a last place finish and not much hope on the horizon.

I swear it's like the coaches are going with a simplistic, "well, they THINK we'll be doing this, so we'll d something else!"-approach when it comes to targeting Marshall, or hell, when it comes to the run game.

I also would love to watch coaches tape and find out if all these bombs to Jeffery in double coverage is the best throw because it seems like something else should be open.

Like another dumpoff to Forte?

Maybe? Seems like there should be TE dump offs or something else when one guy clears out two deep.
