Fans shouldn't cheer the anthem on the road. That's a home game thing. There are plenty of chances to let them know you're there once the game starts.

As for the tickets, if you had any fans that actually go to games, you wouldn't have to worry about road fans taking over your stadium.

I agree the fans shouldn't cheer the anthem on the road. I went to one game down in Nashville and the Chicago fans were respectful. I think it's hilarious they are trying to keep the "Red" out.

I'll be there on Wednesday night with tickets via StubHub. Never been to Nashville, let alone a game at Bridgestone. I'm randomly working a couple of hours away from there that week and going to drive in for the game with a co-worker. Wearing a Kane jersey if he plays. I'll give a full report later in the week.

If you have time for a drink before the game go over to Paradise Trailer Park bar. Plenty of Hawks fans have made it their pregame bar over the years.

I'll try to make it over there. Thanks!

Last push before an inevitable rebuild sort of year next year. Lots of decisions to make.

I for one would be okay with moving Sharp/Crawford/Bickell to upgrade at D. Behind Keith and Seabrook do we have anybody worth a damn?

I am trying not to think about the offseason until its the offseason, but Hammer has his moments and I like what I saw from Van Riemsdyk when he played earlier this year.

#Blackhawks' lines during practice: Saad-Toews-Hossa, Versteeg-Richards-Kane, Bickell-Shaw-Sharp, Nordstrom-Kruger-Teravainen.

Can't believe Vermette has been so bad he is the odd man out for Game 1.

He hasn't been--Q is just being an [expletive]. Versteeg and especially Nordstrom deserve to sit over Vermette.

Kane just needs final approval from the doctors. I thought for sure round 2 would have been the earliest.

Looks like he got that clearance according to a statement released by the Hawks.

We split in Nashville, getting terribly outplayed but Crawford steals one, then lose game 3 at home. Q decides to start playing the good lines and we win in 6.

Crawford isn't going anywhere. But the other two, yes. The cap should be between 71-73 million(probably closer to 71) so this summer will be rough but not 2010 rough. Keith-Seabrook Hammer-TVR isnt to shabby for a top 4 dman corps.

Hammer has been better than Seabrook for at least the last 2 years now. And really, I don't think people appreciate how good those three are. Keith is consistently one of the best three or four defensemen in the league, and the reason he puts up so many points and drives play so much is because Hammer/Oduya (usually with Toews' help) usually shuts down the other teams best players, which let Keith run all over weaker opponents.

With Oduya almost definitely leaving after last season, there's a definite drop off after the top 3. But if TVR plays anything like he did at the beginning of this year, there's few teams that can put up a top 4 that match up with ours. Sign a cheap veteran that's not dead (ie not Rozsival), and plug in Johns/Paliotta/Cumiskey/Rundblad, and we should be fine. Of course, that all changes if Bowman decides Seabrook is the best way to shed salary. Whatever it takes to keep Saad around.

I hesitate to talk about what might happen this off season. My fear though, since there's no hockey today, is that a team like the Oilers offer Seabrook $10 mil/ per. The Hawks couldn't come anywhere near that and it would be hard to pass up that much money.

Another potential nightmare scenario is an expansion draft where the Hawks have to choose which good players to protect and which ones to hope don't get claimed.

Err isn't Seabrook signed through next season? Or are you talking about long term since you are talking about an expansion draft, which I am not sure will happen this offseason.

An expansion draft might be a blessing in disguise if you are talking about shedding unneeded salary(Bickell for example)

Well maybe...but even with Bickells performance and the lesser than expected cap growth, I think you'd still be able to get a 3rd or 4th for Bickell vs. losing him for nothing.

Seabrook is signed thru 2015-16. And if some team like the Oilers offered a 32 year old defenseman 10 million a year? Well god bless them.

That would be more reassuring if the Hawks had anybody even remotely as good coming through the pipeline. Hopefully Johns grows to be that guy but it will take time if it happens at all. Teams like the Oilers have to overpay- just like the Hawks had to overpay Campbell- because why else would anyone want to play there? Duncan Keith is almost a 32 year old defenseman. Do you think a team would be willing to pay him a lot of money to lure him away? I know that Keith and Seabrook are not the same player, Keith has won the Norris, etc. but Seabrook would be a great captain for a young, upcoming team. Lots of GMs put a lot of value on that experience.

Also this could be selective memory but it seems like defensemen tend to age well. Guys like Chelios, Lidstrom, even Timonen were productive into their late 30's. I think any team that would sign Seabrook at 32 would have a decent chance to get 4-5 good years out of him.

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, NHL players in general
