Nice to see Norwood get the promotion and interested to see if Straily can make it 3 in a row.

I've been following Cubs prospects for over 25 years now and I can't remember a year in which so many players have shown clear development and so many draft picks/IFA signings have shown early success. My past experience tells me it's not supposed to be like this. I just keep shaking my head in disbelief at the performances of Bryant and Soler, the development of Baez, Alcantara and Underwood, and the success of Tseng, Gleyber Torres, Mejia, Galindo, Matos and practically every player taken in the top 8 rounds.

This could just be a lucky streak for the Cubs organization or maybe this is what a team that has a big emphasis on scouting and development looks like...

I think Raisin may have transposed KC with Boise. KC isn't listed as playing today. My guess is Norwood is starting with Boise.(and those stats are from Boise)

I just mistyped Kane County instead of Boise for the probable starters. KC has the day off and Norwood is still at Boise.

No idea where to put this. Kiley McDaniel has taken over the lead prospect writer role at Fangraphs. He's got some good stuff coming up. Guess they got rid of Hulet. Who sucked anyway.

Pretty excited about this. He's got some decent writers who are going to help him too.

Not Hulet though. Hulet sucked. Looks like he's going to be handling some prospect stuff still, but it will all be fantasy-based.

a little from column a, a little from column b

that said, it'll be a lot cooler if/when that success translates to the big league level

That's a fantastic hire for Fangraphs.

Sahadev Sharma is going to BP.

Which is awesome for BP as well. They might as well just become a Cubs site.

jackson, vitters, and szczur all have no business on the 40-man. don't know why they're bothering with valaika either when they have watkins.

Rusin as well
