is mckinney ahead of almora on anybody's lists yet?

It's not insane at all. And the fact that it's not insane to suggest that is...well, insane

He's ahead of him on mine, he actually seems to be able to take walks consistently

And where has this Soler been the last few years? He's been better than Bryant at both AA and AAA. Much smaller sample size, sure. But, he's up to 135 PA between the two levels and has shown no signs of slowing down. I have always felt he was a safe bet to contribute. But, now I am salivating over him.

i am guessing it was some combination of being hampered by injuries, rust from not playing a lot of competitive baseball due to those injuries and also the limbo when he was waiting to be cleared as a free agent, and then adjusting to living and playing in the US after playing competitively at a high level in cuba.

RT @BroadcasterMick #Cubs prospect OF Albert Almora just left the game after grabbing his hamstring running to first on a groundout.

Soler double. He is a hitting machine.

Finally decided to pitch to him again and paid the price

I don't know; looks like he let them off easy this time by keeping it in the ballpark.

Better he at this stage of things than Big Jorge.

So wait what's keeping Soler at AAA until September? Not enough ABs this year? Who cares.

Probably more about waiting until the rosters expand. It would be easy to just DFA Sweeney and add him to the 25 man roster but why not wait a few weeks?

i'm definitely looking forward to seeing soler and armando rivero come up.

on the almora injury, in the box scores there isn't any record of him having been removed from either game?

Soler is hitting from behind in the count tonight. The HR was on an 0-2 pitch and the double was on a 1-2 pitch. In 12 pitches (excluding the intentional walk) he hasn't swung and missed at a pitch. He fouled off three in a row before his double.

Plus, he hit a monster home run right after Bryant got hit. After going down 0-2. This guy is ready. Hopefully this will be like the Javy 2 HR 2 walk game that gets him the call.

Was part of a double switch

Bryant K'd again then Soler did

Still no swinging strikes from Soler on 15 pitches. AB went foul, called, called. Bryant on the other hand, has 5 swinging strikes on 13 pitches, excluding the one that hit him.
