Splitter still looks pretty good. Maybe a team will give us something for Fujikawa at the end of this month.

Sweeney's OPS bottomed out for the year at .424 on June 16th after an 0 for 6. Since then: 112 PA, .301/.348/.437/.785, 15/8 K/BB

It was a lot easier saying Baez was probably going to start out like 1-10 than to actually see it happen.

 

I find it easier, since he isn't striking out every AB like I expected him to.

Outside of that play yesterday, he's looked really good in the field too.

Yeah, only 3 in 10 abs so far. I'd be completely fine if he stays at that rate the rest of the season.

hit a couple balls really hard and hasn't struck out a crazy amount. i have no problem with what i've seen so far.

yeah, between the 1 hit being a game winning HR and the fact that he isn't flailing wildly and helplessly at everything, i'm not all that bothered by it
