I missed Baez's AB somehow. Stupid looking away for a moment.

Stupid BABIP refuses to give him a break.

I'm assuming this is a joke but his ball wasn't technically in play as it was a foulout.

Do foul balls not count on BABIP? Pretty sure they do.

Honestly, I have no idea.

Well, I am pretty sure they do. But I'm afraid there was less BABIP luck involved in that out than the line-out last night.

Eh, quality of contact is mostly noise.

The main thing to be taken out of it is that his BABIP is still .000. So until that changes, we can claim that he has just been unlucky.

Wow, Baez turned that DP like playing 2b is no big deal.

Ugh. 2 AB, 2 pitches.

I don't ever want him taking a first-pitch fastball in the zone.

forget his babip, what's his contact percentage looking like?

It was in the 70s yesterday, which is plenty good enough, but it was all against bad lefties in Coors.

He's also swung at 66.7% of pitches, though. :-))

only helps the sample size

That's fair. Admittedly I missed the first AB and just caught Len saying he's only seen two pitches. I didn't think that fastball was a particularly easy pitch to drive in that AB, but I only got one quick look.
