Obviously Soler is gonna start no matter what and it's not like the rest of the OF in AAA matter, but do you think Jackson or Kalish gets DFA'd? Edited by Cubswin11

Almora has been hot for about a month but this feels more like a Hendry era promotion (think Colvin or Vitters).

So it will be this?

1. Szczur

2. Jackson

3. Baez

4. Bryant

5. Soler

6-8. Kalish, Valaika, who cares?

Wow. Good lord.....Javy, KB, and Soler in the same lineup......

I honestly think Almora will be solid in Tennessee right from the start for some reason.

Just cut Jackson, let Soler take his spot and bat him 2nd.

That's 4 OF'ers. Unless Kalish can play 1st. Probably Vitters and soon to be Olt at 1st.

Almora's OPS in over 100 abs since All Star break is .903? AND in 74 abs in July he was OPSing .998. I did not realize that he had adjusted that well. Guess it shows how good the Cubs system really is.

And sometime next year we will be saying...Rizzo, Castro, Javy, KB, Soler and Alcantara in the same lineup...

EDIT: and maybe Russell.

Don't forget Manny at AL ballparks.

Now that I know how to read a calender, they will be in NOLA for 5 games starting a week from today.

I will likely have to be in Eastern Nebraska (South Sioux City) for work within the next month, looks like I will be scheduling that trip around Iowa Cubs home games and making it a driving trip through Des Moines rather than flying.

indeed. they must be giving his approach a pass for some good reason. either his progress in other areas is enough forward development to take on greater challenges or the deficiencies weren't going to get worked out in the remaining daytona season so mine as well get him up against better competition
