Dont look now, but Alcantara only has 1 less HR than Baez. Baez's ISOP is less than .200. Alcantara pushing .250 due to the triples. I guess I don't like Baez singles that much anymore.

I like any javy swings that result in contact...even fouls.

Sometimes it's fun to just look at numbers without context.

Schwarber: 1.586 OPS

Soler: 1.250 OPS

Bryant: 1.170 OPS

Alcantara: .890 OPS

Even if Baez and Almora flame out, at the current time things look pretty good for the future. Fingers crossed, but maybe 2013 was the nadir for the Cubs.

Schwarber again. He's got to be going to Daytona fairly soon. A couple weeks?

7 homers and 6 K's for Schwarber.

If it weren't for the stupid rain in Daytona, I'd say send him and Paniagua now.

I don't expect him to be quite the monster Bryant is in the upper levels, but the low k rate will be a nice change.

the low k rate is pretty unheard of with that kind of power. i don't know how he's doing it.

Is Schwarber better than Bryant? Not sayin' just sayin'...

I'd listen if someone said Schwarber is our second best prospect. I know I shouldn't read too much into these stats at low levels for a college bat who just finished his college season, buuut, those are some pretty good stats he's putting up. He might have more power and even better approach than Soler.

It definitely is nice to have all these bats coming, when there's a dire shortage across MLB of them.

As for Schwarber, [expletive] catching, move the bat on up.
