@sahadevsharma: Scout says Will Remillard's a legit prospect, can really catch. Production with bat in April was a surprise, so let's see if he keeps it up.

@bigjohnsonblog: @KCCougars pitcher Juan Paniagua is back in the Dominican Republic visiting his sick grandmother, thus Amlung's start today. #cubs

Hope he can get back in the country.

Commander Shepard (The Normandy): Hey, Ben, is Baez going to end up being a turd?

The swing and miss is a little worrisome, but I do think that will settle down some with time and experience. It seems like he's trying to do a little too much at the plate right now to get to Chicago as fast as he can, but once he settles down I don't think it's going to be a long-term concern. When he does get called up, he might be a guy who struggles initially because of his approach, but the bat speed, premium power and the feel for hitting even with some strikeouts should still make him a star.

Brian (Denver, Smoke Weed Everday): Ben, Jen- Ho Tseng has had a nice start to the season. He was highly regarded in Taiwan prior to coming to the US. He isn't listed on the Cubs top 30 list, but has his status changed at all now that he is facing tougher competition?

Definitely up, but again with him, I want to see where he's at in August. He was the most enigmatic guy last year because his stuff and his command were so up and down. But he looked outstanding when I saw him earlier in the year, and the stuff is back to where it was at the end of 2012. Great sign by the Cubs.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I assume this is about Baez?

The friends and family in attendence at Zephyr field (most of whom Cubs fans) noticed the no-no. First one I've ever witnessed at any level. It's the first time I've seen Baez in person but he might be the biggest 2nd baseman in MLB when he comes up.

Today is a good day.

OPS up to .981 and counting.

wake me up when it's back to where it belongs, over 1, [expletive].

Or when his K% gets below 25%. It just eked over 28.

@RobbieAaron: .@BijanRad24 couldn't be any hotter at the plate. He lined a 2-strike 2-out RBI 2B off the wall in RC. He's hitting .373. 1-1 T2

Andreoli with a single, BB, and his 15th SB. I'm telling you this guy is going to spend a lot of time in a major league uniform.
