I've been cleaning out my basement and found some random sports memorabilia

1982 AL Champ collector's placemats, purchased at McDonalds

And the collector's glasses.

I have an awesome old A's shirt from when I was like 3 or 4. Wish it still fit.

There's a dude who lives near me who wears bow ties almost every day. He looks like a stereotypical nerdy accountant, and is almost always in a suit with the bow tie. But every once in a while, like on Opening Day or playoff games, I see him fully decked out in A's gear and it's pretty awesome.

I have a Twins homer hanky from the 1991 World Series. One of my teachers in high school was from Minnesota, so he had his parents ship a bunch to him. We got into class, and he had put one on everyone's chairs.

I have an Orioles program from the 1983 ALCS against the White Sox somewhere. I need to go find all that stuff. Oh and the other day I found out my wife has had a Pete Rose signed baseball in our storage unit the entire time we've been together and she didn't think I'd find that cool.

Just look how comically oversized Paul Molitor's cap is on that glass.

Not pictured on those glasses (they're on the side you can't see) are Gorman Thomas, Ben Oglive and Pete Vukovich

I have them from '87 and '91 somewhere I think.

Not baseball related but the coolest piece of sports memorabilia I have is part of the square of the court (it's like a 2"x2" cut out) that Jordan took his last shot as a Bull in Utah.

I'll try to remember to post a pic later, I got it as a Christmas gift from my grandma. She had some sports memorabilia catalog at her house back in the day when we were filling out Christmas lists and I saw it and put it down. I don't think it was all that expensive (if I can remember back to my 9-10 yo brain at the time) it was like $40.

I got this when he came to Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Royals AA team) in 2011. Got to chat with him for a few minutes. Really cool kid. Sucks that my marker kinda crapped out that he signed it twice so you can see it better.

Last year I saw Pete Rose sitting at a desk at the Mirage in Vegas waiting for people to come to him for autographs. There was no line.

Apparently this is all he does.
