@TommyBirch: Baez, who went 0-1 with 2 walks in game 1, starts game 2 by ripping a 1st inning single to left. #Cubs #PCL #MiLB

Two steals for him that inning as well.

Wada: 31.1 IP, 16 H, 2 ER, 37/4 K/BB, 2 HR

These are very good numbers for a reliever, as a starter you kinda have to find room for him pretty soon.

What the hell does that mean?

I would think it means that those numbers would be very good if he were a reliever and only counted on for one inning in any given game and prone to amassing most numbers one inning at a time.

To be fair, most hitters want to hack and not walk...especially studs in the minor leagues I would think.

To be fair to whom?

I wasn't being even slightly sarcastic.

Wow, Loosen actually had a great outing for once. Maybe he can still be a ML bullpen guy.

Also, is Juan Paniagua even a thing anymore?

He falls into the same category as Maples for me; they don't exist until they actually string together a handful of decent outings.

To you thinking it's hilarious that he didn't want to take his HBP?

I see no sarcasm there, just you loving Javy's "attitude" or something like that?

So what are you trying to be fair about? I think it's awesome.

Loosen does this every year. I wonder if he struggles to find his release point and when he finally does, he lights the world on fire. That would seem to make sense given his up and down history.

I hold out hope that he is more productive in relief. The guy obviously has the stuff to be an effective MLB pitcher, the consistency seems to be lacking though.
