Unreal.

What do you do when you miss on a big time coach like Matt Painter? Apparently, you hire Frank Haith. Unbelievable.

On the plus side, in a few years when they fire Anderson they'll try to hire Tom Thibodeau and then hire me when they miss out on him.

You mean when Anderson leaves for Missouri State's women's team

While I'm enjoying this brief respite of bad news for Illinois athletics, what's with the 2 no-names Indiana got commits from this month? They couldn't find a JUCO guy better than this?

Sorry, I meant when Anderson dies. Hopefully he can tell all sorts of fun stories to recruits of the last time he was in D1 basketball, before they were born, that way I won't have an empty cupboard to work with.

I remember when Mizzou fans mocked KU because Bubba Cunningham, then the AD of Tulsa, elected to stay at Tulsa instead of take the KU job. Now their hoops coach left Mizzou FOR the Tulsa job, and they hired some glorified juco coach to replace him. Good stuff.

Maybe they found their Bo Ryan?

Don't ruin this for me.

i'm not as outraged as TT and Snayke - probably because I was expecting this - but if it wasn't going to be Williams (crazy long shot anyways) or Howland, odds are I was going to be pretty "meh" towards it anyways.

People seem to think it's a given that Fuller sticks around, but Gary Parrish threw cold water on that this morning. I think the hire will be even worse if he leaves.

Well, you know that Crean is hyperactive/ADHD and feels the need to constantly be doing something. And IU was entirely lacking in size. So those two things added together probably inevitably lead to reaching for players. The April kid actually seems like a decent flier (7-foot, seems pretty mobile/smooth from videos (I know, I know), and reportedly had offers from Arizona State, Marquette and Washington State). The Priller kid seems like a complete reach out of desperation. As I think I've said on here before, who knew recruiting would become the problem for Crean?

Damn, Michigan now has vs. Cuse, @ Arizona, and potential games against VCU, Nova and Oregon on their non-con schedule.

The expanded conferences are so weird.

Darius Paul suspended for the year without scholarship at Illinois. Guessing he'll transfer out.

Groce said there were repeated transgressions. The Scout board reaction is...as expected.

probably a lot of bardo and other black guy bashing

Mix in a little passive-agressive Groce hating/Weber defending. All it's missing is Mike Thomas hate and you have the trifecta for those downstate goons
