Cuonzo Martin to Cal for some reason.

 

He was not terribly far from getting fired prior to the end of this season(for some reason). The UT crowd didn't seem to care for him, so it's not much surprise to me that he capitalized on the strong finish this year to get out.

 

Strange that he would go so far from his recruiting ties. Though to be fair I haven't looked at where his recruits at UT have come from so maybe he was casting a wider net than I thought. Good for him to move on to where he's wanted and presumably paid more.

 

I think he's just getting a good gig while he can. Fans wanted him fired until their late run and they were going to be worse next year.

well, first of all, that's not the white. That's the new silver uniform. Secondly, the font is different the logo is different, the colors are slightly different, the striping on the side is different, the numbers are different, pretty much completely revamp.

Tulsa is in final negotiations to hire Missouri's Frank Haith, barring a last-minute collapse in talks, a source told ESPN.

 

Goodman usually has pretty solid sources.

 

This is basically Tulsa throwing a lifeline to Haith, right? Otherwise, leaving the 3rd?? (behind UK and UF) best job in the SEC for Tulsa is bizarre.

The thing that doesn't add up to me is Haith deciding he'd have to take that job this year. Even if they were bad next year and he got fired, does he think he wouldn't be able to land a job of Tulsa's caliber and pay scale after that? It seems like he must be really miserable to just forfeit 500k+ to leave now.

Goodman suggested they'd be in on coaches from LA Tech, Winthrop, Dayton(Archie Miller), and yes, Painter again. Ben Howland might be a possibility, I dunno.
