BJ Raji out for the year

He's been pretty pedestrian ever since the Super Bowl year, but he was finally moved back to nose tackle and he actually looked like a productive player again. Tough loss, especially when the nose tackle/defensive line depth isn't very good.

It's kinda crazy that they can't find a way to protect Rodgers better than they do.

As long as the offensive line stays healthy this year, this will easily be the best line Rodgers has had since he's been starting.

Already lost the center.

YOUR MOVE SAM

Doug Gottlieb

@GottliebShow

Michael Sam did the “Money” signal, which was funny, but what if a lineman did a fake kiss after a pancake block? Sam’s signature moment?

I would agree, did they bring Jolly back?

Nope, nor Pickett.

So much press given to Bradford's injury. A last place team loses it's not great QB and will now be in even lastier place. BORING

Team loses starting QB for the year in the third preseason game. It'd be a story no matter what team and what QB.

Yeah, not sure what else you would expect.

Former Heisman winner, back to back ACL injuries, Rams were a dark horse for a wild card...seems like a newsworthy story to me.

Last #1 draft pick to get a megadeal before the slotting rules began.

The "darkhorse for wildcard" thing is nonsense. They're in the best division in football, facing three teams with really good defenses, and even with Bradford (who has been hurt/poop since his rookie year), the Rams offense wasn't good enough.

I mean I get it, it's NFL news, blah blah blah.... I just can't wait for the season to start so we can talk about real stories

But this is a real story.

The Cardinals jumped up to a 10 win team in that same division last year with Carson Palmer. I'm not saying it would've been likely but if Bradford was actually healthy (and decent), who knows how they would have fared this year?

Because during the year they only talk about "real stories," like is Cutler or Romo clutch, if Tebow was on team x would they be better, anything Manziel, Jerry Jones supporting Garrett, etc.

Redskins S Brandon Meriweather suspended 1st 2 games of regular season for 6th violation of player safety rules

Dude just ban him for life already. This happens every year with him. I didn't see the hit but it's the damn preseason man.

Last year 3 of 12 playoff teams had losing records the year before. The year before that 4 of 12. 4 out of 12 the year before that too.

That said, nobody takes mildly interesting and turns it into overwrought madness quite like the NFL, so I can sympathize with the sentiment.

Seriously, can you imagine the liability the NFL is going to face if he does another helmet to helmet hit and paralyzes a player?

You're right, NFL media coverage is the blurst

A 7-9 team from last year despite 6 games against SF, Seattle and Arizona, not to mention starting Kellen Clemons for 9 games, loses it's starting QB, who is a former No. 1 pick, who the team went all in with this season despite chances to draft one of the top prospects, and it isn't a story during the preseason?

Face it, you're wrong Derwood.

They went 1-5 against their division. They gave up 97 points in a three game stretch against ATL, DAL and SF.

On the plus side, they did thump Indy and Chicago, and beat New Orleans late

They were also within 5 of beating Seattle at home and within 10 of beating San Francisco on the road.

It's the very definition of a decent but not great or awful team - look really good against some good teams, look really bad against other good teams. And most of that was without Bradford - add him in and 8-9 wins is completely realistic with 10 as a longshot possibility.
