The Dolphins could give themselves a solid backfield with CJ and Knowshon. I'd have no problems bringing CJ in to back up Forte either

No charges have been filed yet against the 49ers quarterback. But TMZ, which originally broke the story, reports that the case has been referred to the Special Victim's Office, which handles sex crimes.

 

According to the outlet, the woman at the center of the incident alleges that Kaepernick undressed her at the home of Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette. The woman says that she later woke up in a hospital bed without remembering much of the evening subsequent to her physical encounter with Kaepernick.

There's a rumor circulating around here that the Lions are having internal discussions about trading Suh to move up in the draft. I'm assuming that it's Suh+extension for a top 6 pick, not Suh+10 for a top 6 pick. Oakland and Tampa make the most sense in possibly wanting him, and Cleveland and Jacksonville have the most cap space to absorb him.

 

With what I've heard about draft slots, slots don't trade on draft day, just picks. But picks traded ahead of time allow the draft slots to move. So to move from 6 to 1 on draft day, would require getting the #1 overall to agree to terms with the #6 slot money. What happens if it's player for pick(s) on draft day? Do those slots get added to the recipient? Based on how the draft shakes out, moving up to #5 or 6 ahead of time could be unfavorable for the Lions if Watkins/Clowney/Mack/Evans/Robinson are gone.

 

Or if you're the Lions is that a risk worth taking to be out from under Suh's cap hit, and risk potential overdrafts to fill the biggest needs? The Lions are right up against the cap, so do need some flexibility just to sign picks.

Manziel won't be the next coming of Unitas or anything, I don't think. It's a virtual lock he'll be better than the crap Cleveland has been running out there, though.

I think Manziel's athleticism is really underrated, too. He's about the quickest QB to enter the league in ever, as well. That kid is going to give DCs nightmares.

I just don't think he's a finished product. And I think there are serious doubts about Cleveland's ability to develop a young QB into a proficient NFL starter.
