And the Pettine hire is official. Seems like a solid hire, but then so did the Chud hire too.

Aside from the screwy owner, I don't see why people are hating on the Browns so hard. They're loaded with good young talent and they have some solid draft selections in the upcoming draft. They'll likely get a crack at a good young QB in this draft and hopefully they found the right coach.

So Gregg Williams is back with the Rams, even though Fisher told him to get lost after his suspension and fired his son after 2012.

I wanted him on the Bears.

I'm glad he's gone from the Saints, even besides the "Bountygate" ordeal. He lives and dies with the blitz and good QBs can pick his defenses apart. No thanks.

If you rated the stability of NFL franchises from 1-32, Cleveland would be rated "i" because its stability is an imaginary number.

Scott Van Pelt had a Cleveland sports media guy on his radio show today that said this was probably a good move. The guys who are gone hadn't meshed well with ownership and the new guy apparently is pretty widely respected throughout the league. Sounds like it's something Cleveland fans are okay with too.

That's nice and all, but Feb. 11 is a pretty bad time to be hitting the reset button on your organization.

Well, ok...it's not like they were gonna win a Super Bowl this year though. If it's the right move, do it.

It's still a terrible way to run an organization. Farmer wasn't even included in the discussions to hire Mike Pettine.

Based on the history, that's the problem. They have no idea if it's the right move or not. Or what the right move might look like.
