In honor of the #Bears having their conditioning test today I guess I will walk the golf course today instead of taking a cart. #retired

While I get the sentiment, there are definitely lots of people who really do hate him.

And they are terrible human beings.

I think the implication here is that they aren't actually people.

Hehe. Let's see, the 3 great failures of Chicago Bears fans:

1) Valuation of personality traits over football traits.

2) Thinking Bears history should be carried forward forever. Because "Bears football" is a trademark, or something I guess.

3) Talking with other Bears fans who think this way, which allows #1 and #2 to proliferate. Don't do it, man.

Run the ball and play great defense. This is the Black-N-Blue division, damnit!

I'm sure this is no big deal but the Bears sure do get in a lot of fights with each other. In OTAs there was that skirmish between Bennett and Houston, yesterday it was McManis and Weems. Today Houston was at it again, against Jordan Mills.

Edit: Actually that fight in OTAs was between Mills+Bennett and Houston. Definitely seems like Houston and Mills aren't big fans of each other.

To be clear, neither of the scrums that occurred the past two days were majorly significant. But it is worth noting that Mills and Houston have previous history, engaging in a mini-fight during an organized team activity practice at Halas Hall in early June. That one had tight end Martellus Bennett in the mix as well. On Saturday, Houston had to be pulled aside after the episode for talks with both general manager Phil Emery and defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni on the field.

Word is, Houston is going without pads like he's playing with pads on. Could get someone hurt. Who what will happen today when they do actually have pads on.

Apparently Pat O'Donnell has been kicking moonshots and the Bourbonnais crowd is chanting "megapunt" when he takes the field.

@mikecwright

It's still early, but based on what I've seen, I'll be SHOCKED if the D doesn't turn it around this year.

Kyle Fuller has sounded fantastic before and after they put pads on.

@mikecwright: Kyle Fuller stands out big time. Has made plays EVERY DAY out here.

@mikecwright: Fuller D'd up Alshon Jeffery just now in one-on-ones. Knocked ball away. Was on him like glue.

@mikecwright: Alshon caught only 1 ball on Fuller in 1 on 1s. He slapped fuller in head to get open. Would've been offensive PI.

I was thinking the same thing. Is there a more important position on the field that we care less about? Can anyone name another team's long snapper?

But apparently the long snappers look bad.

I just know I'm going to regret like hell taking Mannelly for granted all these years.

I think the CFL guy (don't remember his name) should be able to do the job. Hopefully it was just a bad day for him.
