It must be an oversight, but I didn't see Illinois. Anyone know which bowl we're playing in?

Rutgers might be the worst team playing in a bowl this year. 5 of their 6 wins were over teams with 3 wins or less (the other was an OT win over 5-7 SMU). They lost the 4 games they played against winning AAC teams by 27 ppg. They're worse than any team ND played this year except Air Force and Temple (ETA: and Purdue, I must have wiped that game from my memory).

 

That said, I completely expect ND to allow them to make this a game.

I was thinking about Iowa as a real nice sleeper pick here. I don't think LSU is going to be up for the game, not going to have qb and Iowa is somewhat under-rated.

I agree. I'm actually hopeful that it's not a blowout. It just looks like a scary matchup on paper.

So Mack Brown is stepping down

The only person reporting that so far is Chi(m)p Brown and he is about as worthless as the Bears safeties. His record is HORRIBLE when it comes to accurately breaking news.

Briles? Seems to be the logical choice unless Saban is bored.

I think Briles should be their first call as I don't think Saban is going there, but malzahn would probably be #2 on my list if I'm Texas.

Must-win game for my Huskers. They hung with Georgia for a good part of the Capital One Bowl last year. Bo needs this one to improve to 9-4 or 10-4 in all 6 seasons at the helm; the program needs it for recruiting.

Fort Worth Star Telegram is reporting Saban to Texas is a done deal.
