I'll be pretty upset if the Vikings wind up with Bridgewater. That said, I don't see both the Raiders and Jags passing on a QB.

They could both pass on QBs, but not Bridgewater.

I'm excited to see what Niklas does at the combine. I don't recall the last TE to get multiple personal fouls for blocking - not clipping, not cut blocks, but blocking, in one game he got an "excessive blocking" penalty.

And of the course the ladies will love him.

Is he related to Samardzija?

Interesting that Schrager at FOX has the Saints going for the WR Benjamin out of FSU. I agree with his analysis that WR has become an under the radar big-time weakness for NO. They are aging quickly.

They better protect Brees next year. But yeah, I've been on record of what I think about their WRs. Colston is serviceable. I love Stills, but he's at best a 2 in his prime. Benjamin would make them a pretty dangerous group again.

Nix would be awesome and can play in a 3- or 4-man front.

His scheme versatility is one of the main reasons I prefer him to Hageman and Jernigan. Especially important since they're talking about running multiple styles of defense.

Yep, and the teams that run a hybrid/multiple style of defenses successfully have guys that physically look a lot like Nix on their DL. NE- Wilfork, Balt- Ngata, Sea- Mebane.

ND ran 3-down about 55% of the time and 4-down the other 45% of the time over the last 2 seasons. He can eat up blockers in a 2-gap but is quick enough to play 1.

Wait. So you're telling me Bridgewater & Bortles hang in the pocket longer than Manziel? Next you'll be saying the same thing when comparing Andrew Luck to Russell Wilson.

But I definitely agree that Johnny has several flaws that he needs to fix, like any other prospect out there. His footwork got better from 2012 to 2013 but he still needs to improve there. He does throw off the wrong foot too often and that drives me nuts. But that also shows that his arm strength is better than you think if he can get away with that as much as he does.

Reminds me of Rex Grossman

Seems like most feel Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo did the most to raise his stock in the East-West Shrine Game.

Pitt DT Aaron Donald was the biggest star of the first day of practice at the Senior Bowl. North Dakota St OL Billy Turner, Minnesota DT RaShede Hageman, BYU LB Kyle Van Noy and Nebraska CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste seemed to all get good reviews too.

Donald was listed at 6', 285 by Pitt's website. Typically these things round up. So, I was fully expecting, barely 5'11", 275-280. But he's basically 6'1", 288. Geno Atkins is 6'1, 293. Aaron Donald has been the best DL player in the country the last 2 years. The only thing keeping him out of the top 10 was size concerns.

Based on practices, he's still plenty quick despite maybe adding a few pounds. He has the wingspan of a 6'3"- 6'4" player. He has the numbers. No reason he shouldn't be a top 20 pick at this point.

Man I feel like Jimmy G would be a great fit for Trestman's offense....accurate, strong arm but doesnt throw the deep ball real well. Whats the consensus on his draft stock...3rd/4th round but trending up?

Yep, that's about his grade right now. Could see him going bottom of the 2nd, but I don't think he gets out of the 3rd after this week is over.

He's the perfect Trestman QB. Very quick release. He reminds me a lot of McCown, but much younger and more talented.

Not sure how a QB with a quick release reminds you a lot of McCown. He's got a pitchers windup back there.

I meant more of his style of play. Makes quick reads and gets the ball out or moves around in the pocket to make something happen. He's basically not going to take a lot of coverage sacks or force passes when he doesn't have to.

Yep, he's definitely a first rounder after the weigh in.
