I would bet a hell of a lot of money that 1 loss Bama would make it over 2 loss Mizzou. I'd bet a slightly smaller amount they'd get in over 2 loss Auburn.

 

The winner of the SEC championship game, if it is Mizzou/Auburn will only have 1 loss.

Yeah, but as long as Mizzou wins tonight, one of those guys only has 1 loss at season's end, plus a win over each other. So you'd need Duke and Sparty to win to get Bama through, and even then maybe only if Mizzou won to avoid a rematch.

 

They've already set the precedent to have an SEC game of the millennium rematch in the title game. Bama would be #2 in either scenario.

I don't. If not for a miraculous 4th and 18 tipped-pass TD, they have 2 losses right now.

 

Let's not forget AU powered ahead three touchdowns ahead of georgia in the fourth quarter. They played passively in the fourth quarter and almost lost, but they won. I'm interested to see if they jump osu with a win in the sec championship. I have tickets either way.

They took a 20 point lead early in that 4th. Then GA scored, Up 13 they ran for 3, ran for 4, then ran for -3.

 

GA Scores again, while up 6 Auburn runs 3 passing plays.

I'd rate Bo Jackson and Hershell Walker over Cam, and that's just off the top of my head. Probably a few more too.

 

Cam Newton played one season of FBS ball. Won every award. 14 - 0 including that ridiculous comeback road win vs bama. Auburn wasn't good before him and sucked after him. His coach was gene chizik. He's the greatest ever.

 

And it's that only one season why I don't list him as the greatest. I'm more likely to go with a player with a larger body of work that proved they could sustain greatness for longer than one season. Now, I know some of that is beyond Newton's control. But if I'm arguing greatest college player of all time, I'm going to need a larger body of work. He had one awesome season, but there are players with a greater body of work.
