You and I have talked about this before, IIRC. Chicago fans eat their own; they gobble up any idiot narrative our idiot media wants to assemble and would never change their minds.

If Cutler took them to a Superbowl they'd still bitch about him.

If he just took them and did not win? Probably. Just like Grossman, or just like Philly did with McNabb, or just like just about any fan base would do with a 30 year old QB who has not yet won them a Super Bowl. There are Steelers fans who kind of hate Big Ben right now and lots of NY people wanting to dump Manning.

Unless you are among the best of the best and can back it up with the stats, you are going to run afoul with fan bases across the league. It is not a Chicago thing.

Philly fans were stupid then, and Chicago fans were stupid then as well. Their logic is inconsistent and hypocritical. The "All that matters is that the team is winning" logic ends (regardless of whether or not the winning ends) the instant the drum beat of stupid starts against a guy. Its obnoxious.

I did say that it was a "sports fans in general" thing, fwiw.

You said it was a Chicago specific thing. Chicago first and more specifically Bears.

It just isn't true. Hell, there were Denver fans who hated Cutler when he was only 25.

Bostic made an Urlacher-like interception yesterday, that was nice to see.

Anyone able to find video of this? Power was knocked out yesterday and I have yet to see this in any highlight reel from the game.

Hehe, that would be the hope now, wouldn't it...

I'll ride that horse until he keels over. If there's one thing Trestman can say, it's that he's been able to keep things going even with a crushing injury at the QB position. Green Bay can't even say that this year, so it's been impressive.

It would just be nice if Chicago collectively learns who the guy actually is. Josh is turning into one of the better stories of the year.

The Bears website has a field level view about 1:50 into this highlight package.

What does this even mean.

There are still Chicago fans who think McCown is a young developing QB, rather than an older player with an NFL history. I'm still hearing it from Bear fans I talk to, even.

I find that hard to believe. He's been around a long time. He even has a brother that's been around a long time- meaning that his name has been floating around enough to where no one should think he's young.

McCown is exactly who he thought he was. And they let him off the hook.

And he's played hurt in some of those matchups.

Who would have ever guessed that David Bass and Cheta Ozougwu would be the two highest rated defensive players in a game?

Once you take out practically every other defensive player, the odds increase.

There are people who legitimately thought he was Cade McNown, so...

Yeah, while the Paea thing sucks, mostly because it means more Cohen, I'll gladly take the return of Shea and Ratliff.

I thought Jennings was dead for a second yesterday. Turns out it's nothing, so at least there's that.

When did Jennings almost die, because I only remember Steltz brain nearly exploding.

Last drive of regulation. Couldn't even tell what happened. The Ravens missed a pass in the back of the end zone and Jennings went face down to the turf.

On the Ravens' last offensive play of regulation when the pass went out of bounds and Jennings was acting like he was having a heart attack.
