I like when the Bears play in one of the prime time games because it guarantees I'll be able to see the game. I live in the regional coverage twilight zone and invariably get crap, and Sunday Ticket is just too rich for my blood.

I've had poor luck trying to live stream anything in HD, because the internet option in my area completely blow. I have zero patience for buffering and poor quality.

Fox is more than happy to provide that same crappy quality.

I only get Sunday Ticket when DirecTV picks up the tab (which worked fanatically last year). Still working on them this season.

The only positive I get from having the Bears on late is being able to fully utilize the Sunday Ticket machine, which is definitely glorious.

I prefer the noon starts though, just too much awesome having a Bear win out of the way and being able to enjoy the rest of my Sunday.

Agreed. I hate waiting all day for Sunday Night Football (or worse yet Monday night), although a few times a year is ok, but it is awesome to be able to be glued to the Red Zone Channel for the early games.

So this is only the 3rd time in the last 11 seasons that the Bears have started out 2-0, and the 4th time in the last 22 years.

The previous 3 times:

2002 (Started 2-0, finished 4-12, missed playoffs)

2006 (Started 7-0, finished 13-3, lost Super Bowl)

2010 (Started 3-0, finished 11-5, lost NFC Championship)

I just like them being in the spotlight and having the best broadcast. But yeah, if I lived out of town, then I'd really like that part of it too.

Keep it going, but lets try to win this easier.

Last time the Bears and Steelers played (W 17-14, 2009 - also known as Jay's first home game and W as a Bear):

Last time the Bears and Steelers played in Pissburgh (L 21-9, 2005):

If that was ref #85, Cutler would've received a concussion from that hit.

Good news:

@mikecwright: Martellus Bennett has a bruised shoulder, but Trestman said he has full range of motion. He's fine.

this is really the one saving grace. all the other stuff sucks, but being able to do red zone for the noon games is great.

go to a bar

I do this even if the Bears are on tv. Finding a watering hole with Sunday Ticket and fans of every team sitting in different parts of the bar watching their team is a lot of fun.

Gonna have to try the torrent after the game approach this week. Gonna be an interesting measure of self control not to spoil the game or fast forward.

oh god that 2002 team, i remember it all too well. I remember watching them bottle up Vick in the second game at a department store while looking at all the huge TVs for sale, it was glorious. Then they lost like every game after that.

2002 was "that year" and everyone should refrain from discussing it further. It has no bearing on this season.

I believe they also led 20-0 in the 3rd game with the Saints before blowing it.

I'm too much of a raving lunatic to watch the games anywhere but at home.

my wife is heading out of town very early Monday morning so I'm flying solo with the little ones starting with the Monday drop offs. That also means we are essentially forced to watch BB late Sunday night because there's no way I'm lasting several days with that on my DVR and all the talk on the internet.

Seen Orange is the new black? Be that guy.
